Reclamo N° 73187

In January of 2017, my family drive to Agrigento, Sicily, in Italy for holidays. We stayed in Agrigento from the 1st to 3rd of January. The hotel (B&B Monte dei Pegni AGRIGENTO) is located in a Traffic Limited Area (TLA) and actually before we booked the hotel, the hotel confirmed to us that we can safely pass the Traffic Limited Area(TLA), as they have the permission for the passengers. But in June 2017, we got the fine from local police station saying that my car passed the Traffic Limited Area (TLA) without permission. We are surprised about this and so we communicated with the hotel, but the hotel said that we did not inform them on going out January 2nd, so they did not inform the local police for January 2nd permission. This is completely NOT true, as we have prove to show you that we asked them on January 2nd during breakfast time for going out, and they also informed us where to park the car after our day tour return. After many times communication, the hotel refuse to take their responsibility. As a result, we have no choice but to pay the fine (fine is Euro 84,76 plus car rental company handling cost Euro 61, total cost for us is Euro 145,76). After our complaint to Booking.com (we booked this hotel through Booking.com), the hotel tried to tell Booking.com that the fine is due to we did not inform them on our going-out on January 2nd, even though we sent our proves!
