: I am writing to inquire about the possibility that I can get a refund from my hotel booking since the border is now closed from outside EU countries due to covid-19. I understand there is a new law (the provisions of Art. 88 bis of Law 27/2020 of conversion in law, with amendments, of Decree-Law no. 18 of 17 March 2020 (see https://www.gazzettaufficiale.it/eli/id/2020/04/29/20G00045/sg) set to protect the traveler but obviously the hotel owner is not willing to refund me but only a 12-month valid voucher. But this is not the best option for me. Kindly advise your comments. Thank you for your help and prompt response in advance.
